August Newsletter

MASTERTON MARAUDERS AUGUST NEWSLETTER

Hey guys (and girls), remember me?  Don’t worry, the Marauders haven’t slunk off anywhere, I’ve just been super busy over the last couple of months (work, helping out mates, family going into hospital, just the usual stuff), so I haven’t really had time to bash out the newsletter, or organise a games day.

I’m sending this one here out, mainly, to let you all know that I’m still driving the club, and there will be a games day in September, and I intend there to be at least one a month for the foreseeable future.

First up, the big news:  Masterton has finally got a Games Workshop stockist!  The new Toyworld in town has got in a small selection of boxed models, almost all of the paints, superglue, etc.  This is great news for all of us who were getting a bit pissed about having to drive 2 hours just to replace that old tin of Chaos Black!  They are also more than happy to order in anything that you want - just go in and talk to them!  So shop local, guys!

I also need you all to reply, please, with your contact details, games and armies you play.  I’ve had one or two people enquiring about 40k and also Warmachine and Historical wargames.  We’ve got about 12 people now who play Warhammer, and I’m happy to organise days for the other games as well - I just need to know how many people would be interested in it.

Speaking of Warhammer, I also need to know how many of you have, or have access to the new 8th Edition rulebook - I would like the club to start playing with the new rules, but if we don’t have a few of the books floating around life will be a bit difficult!

Look forward to hearing from you guys,

James
