Craig and Jim organised a series of practice games to help people learn the Hordes of the Things rules that will be used in the club campaign. A good number of people turned out and Craig provided these notes, with David taking the photos.
- Craig using Lizardmen (attacker) (just) beat Jim using Goblins (defender).
- Dave using Lord of the Rings Goblins (attacker) beat John using Early Imperial Romans (defender) - John lost his general.
- John using Early Imperial Romans lost to Rex also using Early Imperial Romans, despite Rex losing his general.
- Ross using a double-sized Army of Minas Morgul (defender) beat the Graham brothers, Peter and James (attackers). Peter used Goblins, and James used Lizardmen.
- Craig using the Army of Hos-Hostigos (from the novel Lord Calvin of Otherwhen by H Beam Piper) (attacker) lost (badly) to Dave using Lord of the Rings Goblins (defender).
- Rex using Early Imperial Romans (defender) beat Jim also Early Imperial Romans, killing Jim's general along the way.
